# Clear Screen

Turn off all the LED lights on the [LED screen](/device/screen).

basic.clearScreen()
```

### Example: vanishing heart

The following code displays a heart on the screen and then turns off all the LED lights using `clear screen`:

basic.showLeds(`

# # # # # 
# # # # #

basic.clearScreen()
```
